Soar Above Glaciers and Look For Wildlife
Seward, Alaska is a small seaside mountain town nestled between the Kenai Fjords National Park and the Chugach National Forest. These huge swaths of land are protected for a reason — they are stunningly beautiful. On our scenic flights, enjoy dazzling flights where you will see glaciers, waterfalls and beautiful snow-capped mountains. On your flight look for bears, moose, mountains goats and marine life like whales, seals, and otters. These stunning flights are a great way to appreciate all that Seward has to offer.

Our Typical Flight Paths
All our scenic flights are incredible and these are only our suggested routes. We are always happy to deviate the routes based on what you want to see or what we feel will is in your best interest based on weather.
The biggest difference in our flights is that the longer flight you take, the more ground you will cover. This means seeing more glaciers and a greater area to look wildlife in.

What We Recommend
In Seward, you will never regret taking a longer flight! Spend money on experiences, not stuff –right?! Regardless of what you decide, you will be happy with whatever you choose. We advise that you go on the flight that best fits your budget. If you are looking for the best “bang for your buck” for a scenic flight, then we recommend our 30 minutes flight to Bear Glacier.
Bear Glacier is the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park at 11 miles long and 3 miles wide. The panoramic views are stunning and flying amongst the icebergs is surreal. In early May and late August, this flight has a high likelihood of spotting bears.
If you want the “Deluxe” bucket list item, our glacier dog sledding tour is expensive — but it an incredible experience that we are sure you will love.

Wildlife Viewing
Our most common animals to see are seals and mountain goats. Seals are often spotted lounging by glaciers on pieces of ice that have calved off. Mountain goats can be found on rocky terrain in the valleys we fly through.
If you are interested in spotting bears instead of seeing glaciers, we can change our flight path to accommodate this by visiting salmon spawning areas. The best bear viewing from helicopter happens in early May before the foliage comes out and again from Mid-July. Mid-July bears can be spotted at salmon runs. Mid-August through the end of September bears are again at high elevation and are easy to spot.
